"Come in! " Lilly replied as she continued her battle with the uncooperative zip on her dress. 

" Miss Thompson...?" Gemma said as she watched with amusement as Lilly tossed, turned, and danced around like a loony trying to do the zip up on the back of her dress. 

"Oh, Gemma..." Lilly said as she started to blush with embarrassment at being caught in such a moment. "What can I do for you? " Lilly asked once she had regained her composure. 

"Mr Marconi sent me up with this..." Gemma said as she handed over a black velvet box that was tied with a gold silk ribbon. 

Lilly took the box carefully and smiled at Gemma, thank you Gemma for staying over your day to do so. I hope you haven't missed your bus home ? If so I can ask Marcus to drive you? Lilly said kindly surprising Gemma. 

"Erm, your welcome, and thanks for offering but there's another in twenty minutes so I will be fine," Gemma said as she looked at Lilly who was smiling at her kindly and although she couldn't bring herself to smile back at Lilly she nodded in gratitude. 

"Oh that's good I am glad you won't have to wait long...thank you for this," Lilly replied lightly shaking the box. 

"You're welcome..." Gemma replied before hesitating slightly, " Lilly..." Gemma started to say and her expression softened " Have a good evening. I will see you on Monday." 

Lilly had the impression that wasn't what Gemma really wanted to say 

and that she wanted to say more but couldn't find the words. Lilly, however, 

instead of saying so thought it would best not to push Gemma and to leave 

her to say what she wanted to whenever she was ready. So instead she 

simply smiled warmly before replying, " Thank you Gemma you too." 

Gemma stood for a brief moment conflicted before she nodded and 

turned to leave and Lilly turned to allow her to go and gently placed the box 

on her dressing table with the intention of continuing her battle with the 

darn zipper. 

After an awkward stretch to try and reach the zipper Lilly sighed and 

was about to give in when she saw in the mirror that Gemma was still 

standing behind her. "It may be a beautiful dress but its not practical..." 

Lilly laughed trying to lighten the awkward tension.

"Excuse me?" Lilly asked confused. 

"Turn around, your dress you can't zip it on your own and it's clear you 

need help, turn," Gemma said surprisingly even herself with her offer of 

help. 

"You're going to help?" Lilly questioned stunned and confused. "Yes...there's no one else too is there? And I am here anyway so 

...turn." 

"No, I suppose there's not...thank you Gemma," Lilly said before she turned and Gemma quickly did the zipper careful not to catch Lilly's skin. 

Lilly smiled in the mirror at Gemma and Gemma hesitated before she smiled back with genuine kindness. "Good night Lilly...your right the dress is beautiful and you look beautiful in it," Gemma said before she quickly turned and left not giving Lilly a chance to respond. 

Lilly was so confused...why was Gemma being nice? It wasn't like Gemma was horrible to her before admittedly...it was just that she suddenly seemed cold and distant, ever since she started to warm to Stefan. Was that it? Lilly knew Gemma didn't have feelings for Stefan so she wasn't jealous in fact she always seemed fearful or him but maybe when Lilly got closer to Stefan Gemma started to pull away out of fear because she was so scared of Stefan? The way Gemma smiled at her there with genuine kindness and the way she seemed to want to tell her something it was clear there was still hope for their friendship... perhaps if Lilly can show her Stefan wasn't the monster Gemma feared he was, perhaps then Gemma would feel safe and open up to Lilly and they can restore their friendship? Lilly decided she would put a plan in place to try starting from Monday but right now she had another plan to focus on ...the plan to lose her virginity. 

Putting her 'Gemma plan' aside she focused on her current plan starting by studying herself in the mirror, not out of vanity but out of nerves. Tonight was important and if she was going to seduce Stefan, who for the past week had been nothing but the perfect gentleman she would need to

With one last sigh, Lilly decided that she would do and was about to leave when she remembered - the box! 

As Lilly picked up the box she noticed an old looking jewelers stamp on the bottom. It must be jewelry, most likely something Stefan was gifting to her to borrow for tonight. Lilly looked at the clock and noticed she was five 

minutes late already to meet Stefan, thanks to that dam zip but she didn't want to offend him by not wearing his gift so she opened the box and when she did she was so shocked she nearly dropped the box. 

When she open the velvet lid the most beautiful necklace she had ever seen, in her whole life was staring back at her. The necklace was a thin gold choker that had ten tear dropped shaped sparkling diamonds the length of her fingers delicately dangling from it and right in the middle of them was a glorious emerald that was the size of her palm. The necklace was like something a queen would wear at a state banquet and must have cost a fortune if the jewels were real and knowing Stefan Lilly was without doubt that they were. 

It was so stunningly beautiful Lilly didn't at first see the note that was tucked into the lid but as she slowly did she put the box down with great care on the dressing table and opened the note to read it. 

"My darling Lilly, This is the Marconi family necklace. It has been in my family for hundreds of generations and was commissioned just after our family crest was born. It is a tradition in my family that the new Boss of the family gets the Marconi crest tattooed on them, as I did when I was fifteen and that this necklace is passed onto the new Boss's wife on their wedding day. Don't worry I am not asking you to marry me - yet, I know you are young and want the chance to enjoy life as a couple and as an individual first before settling down so I give it to you now not as an engagement present but as a 'promise necklace' to show my commitment to marriage with you in the future when you are ready, as well as a token of my respect and love. Lilly folded the note carefully and put it on the dresser as she cried 

tears of joy, No one had ever loved her or made her feel as loved as Stefan 

did and this romantic gesture was the perfect way to start an evening of 

celebrating their future. She was so incredibly lucky to have a man like 

Stefan and she couldn't wait to be his wife- one day. Lilly picked up the 

necklace and carefully put it on before she walked as fast as her heels would 

allow downstairs to meet Stefan- her Stefan. 

Stefan heard the clicking of heels and turned away from Marcus to 

greet Lilly and when he saw her he swore he had never seen a woman as 

beautiful or as tempting as her- she was breathtaking and he felt like the 

worlds luckiness man. "You are so beautiful always but tonight- I swear I 

have never seen anyone as stunning as you, I am a lucky man," Stefan said 

in a voice thick with passion. 

"Thank you and I am a lucky woman also, the necklace and the note - 

Stefan that was really romantic I love you thank you," Lilly said as she pulled 

him into a deep kiss. 

"You're welcome, you know your the only woman in the world who can 

wear such a stunning necklace and have every man not even notice it, as 

they are too busy staring at your beauty," Stefan said meaning every word 

and making Lilly blush. 

"Thank you," Lilly said shyly. 

"I mean it you look incredibly beautiful and sexy in that dress..." Stefan said as he squeezed her hip and looked into her eyes with a lust-filled gaze.

But you better be going your already late, so bye kids have fun," Marcus said as he gently nudged them towards the door making Stefan roll his eyes and mutter something under his breath and Lilly giggled at Stefan's reaction as they were directed outside and into the waiting car. 

Marcus stood in the driveway waving like an i***t as the car drove away and Stefan groaned, "I feel like a teenager who's embarrassing dad is saying goodbye to his son who is going to prom with his date." Stefan said and Lilly laughed. 

"Well, we are certainly dressed fancy enough for going to a prom." Lilly chuckled. 

"True and we have champagne here just like we would in a limo hired to drive us to prom," Stefan said as he poured himself and Lilly a glass.
