"Good morning, beautiful," Stefan said as he kissed Lilly passionately. 

"It certainly is," Lilly smiled in her dreamy loved upstate when their kiss had finally ended and her and Stefan stared into each other eyes thinking about last night. 

Stefan and Lilly had spent the night discussing their feelings in-depth and making plans for their future. After making a plan that they would put into action starting tonight, Lilly and Stefan then spent the rest of the evening dancing all night lovingly in each others arms- it was a perfect evening. 

"Last night was amazing," Lilly said as she laid her head on Stefan's chest and he stroked her hair lovingly. 

"It was I had a great time and I am looking forward to repeating it tonight... at the Ball," Stefan said as he guided her to her seat and poured her her morning tea before he took his seat next to her so he could be closer to her rather than the traditional seat at the other end of the long table. 

The Ball, Lilly had completely forgotten about it! She had been so busy yesterday focusing on Stefan and being swept up in all the romance. 

Now that Lilly remembered she had to admit she was excited about it but equally as nervous as she had never been to an event like it and since Stefan was going to introduce her as his official girlfriend she didn't want to let him down by embarrassing him. 

"I know what your thinking and don't, you're perfect and everyone will love you and if anyone doesn't and isn't nice to you I will kill them," Stefan 

said in a threatening tone that even made Lilly shudder a little. 

once Lilly had finished spluttering her tea in shock at his lethal 

declaration and the tinge of fear had left her she took a deep breath and 

raised her head ready to confront him and tell him off but when she did she 

saw a mischievous twinkle in his eye and laughed instead before swatting 

him. 

"And you were about to tell me off for having violent tendencies - 

ouch!" Stefan jested as Lilly swatted his arm again. 

"That's not funny Stefan, I never want you to kill anyone over me - 

even if you think they deserve it it's not worth you tarnishing your soul over," 

Lilly said turning serious. 

"My soul was lost a long time ago Lilly before I met you I was a different 

person- I was merciless and lethal but for you, I will work on being a better 

person and try and redeem myself where I can until our plan to leave 

come's into effect," Stefan said as he took Lilly's hand and kissed the back of 

it. 

"Thank you, Stefan I love you," Lilly said kissing Stefan's hand in return 

making Stefan feel something he hadn't since he was a child with his 

mother-safe and loved unconditionally. 

"Right love birds as cute as you are to watch I can't wait here all day, Stefan you are needed in the office people are wanting to finalize details about the Ball tonight and a merger of your Airline company is awaiting your sign off along with a few proposals on your property companies and the investors in your hotels are have scheduled a meeting at 1 pm to discuss the building of your newest hotel in Las Vegas. And there's ... Mafia business to discuss as well." Marcus said standing in the doorway with a smirk. 

Stefan sighed " Marcus excellent timing as always" Stefan muttered making Lilly giggle and whisper for him to be nice. 

"Right, give me half an hour and I will meet you outside," Stefan replied in a tone completely unlaced with annoyance, as Lilly urged despite Marcus's smug smile and teasing expression that was asking for Stefan to reply in such away. 

"Boss, everyone at the office has been in since 5 am they are waiting anxiously to get your approval on things we have tonnes to do today if you're going to make it in time to for the Ball you should get breakfast to go," Marcus said ignoring his phone that had rang for the tenth time. 

"Stefan it sounds like you have a really busy day you better go. Don't worry about me I will see you tonight now go." Lilly said as she stood and held out an apple for Stefan who quickly downed his coffee and stood to kiss Lilly on the cheek. 

"Thank you, your amazing. I booked a massage for you at 1 pm, and a hairdresser and beautician will be hereafter to help you get ready. I love you and I will pick you up at 5 pm." Stefan said as Marcus rushed him out the door before Lilly could reply. 

Lilly drank the rest of her tea and was about to leave when she spotted 

Gemma walking passed, " Gemma!" Lilly squealed excitedly catching her attention. 

"Oh hi, Lilly, " Gemma said as she waved awkwardly. and looked downwards. 

"Would you like to join me for a cup of tea and a catch-up?" Lilly asked smiling. 

Gemma kept her eyes down for a minute before she looked at Lilly and replied, "I am sorry but I have lots to do today, perhaps another time?" Gemma said in a flat tone of voice. 

"Oh...Okay, well I am free all morning I will help you since you are rushed off your feet," Lilly volunteered. 

"I am sorry but I really do have tonnes to do and I will get it done quicker on my own.... if you'll excuse me I am expected in the kitchen," Gemma said as she rushed away before Lilly could ask her if everything was okay between them. 

Lilly sat at the table confused, did she do something wrong? Why was Gemma acting so...cold? Lilly couldn't think of anything she had done wrong but if Gemma was upset she wanted to find out why and try and fix it, she would, however, wait until tomorrow since Gemma did say she was busy and she didn't want to get in the way. 

Sighing Lilly drank the last of her tea and decided she would go to her room and try and rest before the people Stefan hired to help her get ready arrived, after all, she barely got any sleep last night as she was just far too excited to sleep. 

Lilly was finally ready, she had a relaxing massage, her hair had been curled and pinned in place with diamonds and emeralds and she thanks to the stylish's help was finally dressed. 

Lilly took one last nervous look in the mirror before she went 

downstairs to meet Stefan. 

Holding the hem of her beautiful floor-length gown Lilly gracefully glided down the stairs smiling at Stefan who was looking at her adorningly- as was becoming his habit 

"Every time I see you in one of these dresses I am one step closer to having a stroke or heart attack for real- your beauty takes my breath away," Stefan said as she took Lilly's hand and kissed it. 

Lilly blushed as looking into Stefan's gaze she could see his was heavy with a heady mix of lust and admiration. "Thank you, you look so handsome too," Lilly said as her gaze roamed Stefan approvingly, he was wearing a tux but had a green silk bow tie to match the colour of Lilly's dress. 

Stefan and Lilly stood at the bottom of the stairs staring lovingly into each other eyes and a loud no so subtle cough broke their trance," Mr Marconi sir we really must we going or we will be late." Aiden said looking nervously at his watch. 

Stefan nodded and offered Lilly his arm who graciously accepted and they made their way to the car and off to the Ball with no idea what they were getting themselves in for. 

Lilly and Stefan made their way into the Ball laughing happily but Lilly's laughter stopped when she saw Mia gliding towards her and Stefan with an evil smirk - a smirk that of course changed to a sweet smile as soon as Stefan spotted her. 

" Stefan! How wonderful you made it I do hope this year is just as much fun as last year...especially last year that after-party was...memorable as I am sure you recall since you went home with five women." Mia said standing so her back was to Lilly rudely fading her out of their conversation. 

'Yes I did, and I am sure this year will be just as memorable but for the 

right reason's since my girlfriend, Lilly is with me and I have someone I love 

to share it with," Stefan said trying to gently give Mia a hint that she was 

unintentionally being rude. 

Of course, there was nothing unintentionally about Mia's rudeness, she 

was attempting to make Lilly feel uncomfortable but her plan backfired as 

when Stefan introduced Lilly as his girlfriend Mia nearly choked on the 

canopy she was eating. Mia, unfortunately, recovered quickly as Stefan 

thumped her vigorously on the back causing a scene much to Mia's 

embarrassment. " Ah yes Lilly, how kind of you to join us," Mia said looking 

at Lilly with utter disgust- and with a little jealously in her tone. 

Lilly looked incredibly beautiful tonight, her emerald green velvet dress 

screamed vintage Hollywood and the respectable neckline that just 

showed off her shoulders showed the smallest flash of Lilly's creamy soft 

skin but still looked incredibly sexy as the velvet clung to her enviable 

hourglass figure- why did that b***h have to look so stunning Mia thought. "I 

do hope your evening is memorable Lilly- I shall do everything in my power 

to make sure it is," Mia said and Stefan smiled at her mistaking her veiled 

threat for a friendly promise. 

"That's really kind of you Mia but if you'll excuse me I want to introduce Lilly to some people," Stefan said handing Lilly's hand and about to turn away but as he did Mia reached out and grabbed him. 

"Wait Stefan, since I greeted your guest it's good manners for you to do the same to mine," Mia said sweetly. 

"Of course my apologise's I just assumed you didn't bring one as you never usually and I didn't know you were dating anyone," Stefan said curiously. 

"I am not, he's a married man Stefan and you know how much the vows of marriage mean to me." Mia said pointedly, " He's just a business associate, he heard about about the Ball tonight and wanted to come so I invited him with the hopes if we wine and dine him he will invest in Marconi enterprises as he's a wealthy businessman who is always looking for investment opportunities." Mia said in a sickenly sweet voice again that was starting to get on Lilly's nerves. 

"Okay I will meet your guest to be polite and if he's interested I will arrange a meeting with him." 

"Great, let me go and find him I will be right back." Mia beamed before she flashed Lilly a grin that looked- triumphant making Lilly nervous. 

As Mia hurried away excitedly Stefan took two glasses of champagne from one of the many trays the servers were walking around with and handed one to Lilly, "I am sorry about this, I wanted tonight to be about us declaring our relationship and then dancing all night as we did last night and I am sorry business was brought up." Stefan apologised 

"That sounds lovely- the dancing but there will be time for that I am sure later on, your a billionaire CEO of various companies I understand that 

title comes with responsibilities and been you have to work hard and I will always support you in that," Lilly said standing on her tiptoes to kiss him on the cheek demurely not wanting to embarrass him in front of his peers by kissing him passionately and causing a scene. 

"You really are amazing, thank you for understanding.," 

Lilly and Stefan were deep in banterful conversation when Mia.returned, "Ah Stefan, allow me to introduce my associate, Mr Sinclair." 

Lilly turned around slowly when Mia said that name and stared up into the eyes of the devil himself, " It's a pleasure to meet you Mr. Marconi, I have heard so much about you." Mr Sinclair said extending his hand which Stefan shook politely. 

"The pleasure is mine Mr Sinclair, please allow me to introduce my girlfriend Lilly," Stefan said pointing at Lilly who was frozen in place in fear and shock. 

"Ah Lilly, it's a pleasure to meet you," Tommy said extending his hand and Lilly looked at his hand and suddenly the memories of it groping her came flooding back. 

"I am sorry please excuse me, I need to visit the ladies room," Lilly said panicking. 

"Of course allow me to escort you, excuse me it was nice to meet you," Stefan said to Tommy as he held Lilly's hand and led her towards the direction of the ladies. 

"Whoa, Lilly are you Okay?" Stefan asked as he caught her arm to steady her as her wobbly legs gave way a little. 

"Yes, I am sorry I must have tripped, excuse me I won't belong." Lilly sai das she quickly kissed him on the cheek and made her way quickly into the 

ladies where she ran into a cubicle and locked the door before she broke 

down in tears. 

"well, I have to say the look on her face was worth it, you were right," 

Tommy said as he and Mia raised a glass in celebration. 

Next we move onto the next phase of the plan, are you ready?" Mia asked. 

"Yes, I have been thinking about this moment since the moment I laid 

eyes on the little w***e, and don't worry I will do exactly as you asked and 

make it hurt... that will be my pleasure." Tommy laughed. 

Tommy and Mia drank the rest of their champagne excitedly talking 

about the next part of their plan as Lilly cried her heart out and Stefan stood 

outside the ladies waiting on Lilly oblivious to what was going on.
